Family Matters
We offer specialist advice on all issues which arise from the breakdown of a relationship, whether the parties are married or merely cohabiting. We understand that this can be a very difficult time for clients, who are often uncertain as to what the future holds. We are also aware that emotions often run high. We aim to provide clear, up to date advice to clients, whilst also offering reassurance and support when necessary.
We are able to offer advice and assistance on all of the following issues:-
1. Divorce/Judicial Separation proceedings.
2. Negotiation and determination of financial settlements, whether between spouses or cohabitants.
3. Disputes in respect of children, to include the issues of residence, contact, change of name, removal
from the jurisdiction, maintenance and special guardianship orders.
4. Domestic violence.
5. Public law children proceedings, including care proceedings and supervision orders.
We aim to resolve disputes as amicably as possible. However whilst the issue of Court Proceedings is seen as a last resort, we do have extensive experience and knowledge of the local Family Courts.
We are able to offer an initial appointment on a fixed fee basis. At that appointment we will discuss your particular circumstances and advise you accordingly.
Sue Shepard deals with all family matters at our South Woodham Ferrers office, assisted by Claire Quarterman, whilst Michelle Smith and Jane Pattison deal with such matters at our Wickford Office. We pride ourselves that the majority of new clients contact us as a result of a recommendation from a previous or existing client. If you feel that we can be of assistance to you, please feel free to contact us for further information.
